What is the Association for Nutrition (AfN)?

Nicola Fowler is a Registered Associate Nutritionist and is on the UK Voluntary Register of Nutritionists (UKVRN) governed by the Association for Nutrition (AfN). The AfN is an independent regulator which works to protect and benefit the public by ensuring that all registrants meet rigorous standards of competence and professionalism. The UKVRN is the only register of qualified nutritionists recognised by Public Health England and the NHS.

All registrants must hold a relevant degree from an accredited university course and must adhere to the AfN Standards of Ethics, Conduct and Performance. Registrants must practice safely and effectively, ensure their work and advice is supported by scientific evidence and keep up to date with developments in their field.
